FC Chelsea interessiert an O. Diomande

Chelsea have made contact with Sporting over a deal for defender Ousmane Diomande, as they explore centre-back reinforcements in January.
The 20-year-old Ivorian has been identified by Chelsea as one of their primary transfer targets, with striker options also being discussed internally.
Sporting have knocked back an initial enquiry from the Blues for Diomande, insisting they will only sell him for his full £69million (€80m) release clause.

Der 20-jährige Innenverteidiger ist noch bis 2027 an Sporting CP gebunden, das nach dem enttäuschenden vierten Platz der Vorsaison aktuell die Tabelle der Liga Portugal anführt – vor allem dank der Tore von Viktor Gyökeres, einem weiteren Chelsea-Kandidaten, aber auch wegen Diomande. Deswegen haben die Portugiesen eine Anfrage der Londoner abgeblockt und auf die Klausel in Höhe von 80 Millionen Euro verwiesen, heißt es. Sporting hatte Diomande vor einem Jahr für 7,5 Millionen Euro aus Dänemark geholt.
