Saito könnte dann Ivan Perisic ersetzen. Der Kroate war im Januar 2013 für acht Millionen Euro von Borussia Dortmund nach Wolfsburg gekommen, konnte bislang aber nicht überzeugen. Aktuell soll der englische Rekordmeister Manchester United angeblich über eine Verpflichtung des 24-jährigen Mittelfeldspielers nachdenken. Jedenfalls berichten englische Medien, dass sich der Klub, der bisher eine enttäuschende Saison spielt, mit dem Kroaten beschäftigt. United soll Perisic demnach bereits mehrmals beobachtet haben und in dieser Woche erstmals Kontakt mit dem VfL in dieser Sache aufnehmen wollen.
