Official: Galatasaray loan Fiorentina's Pulgar - Most valuable signing this season

In crisis, Galatasaray have completed their third winter signing. On Thursday, the Turkish record champions added Chilean national team player Erick Pulgar. The 28-year-old midfielder will be loaned from Fiorentina until the end of the season. Pulgar, who was signed in 2019 for €12.3 million remains under contract in Italy until 2023. 

With a market value of €8.5 million, Pulgar becomes the most valuable Gala signing of the season—based on when he was added. In terms of market value, Pulgar has been on a downward trend. Back in August 2020, his market value was still €15 million and he was a constant starter at the start of the campaign. An ankle injury in October has seen him struggle and he managed just ten minutes of playing time in Serie A since. 

Galatasaray, in the meantime, have already loaned Iñaki Peña as a replacement for the injured Fernando Muslera from Barcelona and also brought back forward Bafétimbi Gomis from Al-Hilal.
