Max Meyer, médio alemão de 25 anos que terminou ontem contrato com o Colónia, foi apontado ao SC Braga como podendo estar nas cogitações dos minhotos caso Al Musrati deixe o plantel às ordens de Carlos Carvalhal. Formado no Duisburgo e no Schalke, Max Meyer, já com estatuto de internacional alemão em quatro ocasiões, com um golo marcado, esteve duas temporadas e meia no Crystal Palace, de Inglaterra, tendo regressado em janeiro à Alemanha, para vestir a camisola do Colónia em 12 partidas oficiais. Agora, é jogador livre.

Laut der portugiesischen Sportzeitung „A Bola“ beschäftigt sich Sporting Braga mit dem 4-fachen deutschen Nationalspieler. Meyer ist demnach eine Alternative, sollte Mittelfeldspieler Al Musrati den Klub noch verlassen.

Traurige Saga. Hab echt mal einiges von ihm gehalten spielerisch.
Wenn es in Köln nicht geklappt hat, wird es im Ausland bei Braga meines Erachtens nicht besser laufen. Er ist jetzt 25. Wenn es ihm ums sportliche geht sollte er seine Gehaltsforderungen auf ein Minimum schrauben, sich bei einem Aufstiegskandidaten in der 2. Liga günstig anbieten und versuchen über die Schiene nochmal anzugreifen und auf sich aufmerksam zu machen. Dann kann er mit 28 vielleicht nochmal einen größeren Vertrag bei einem größeren Klub erhaschen und das ganze hätte noch ein ansehbares Ende genommen.
