Leicester are trying to sign Francisco Trincão from Barcelona and have offered to take the forward on loan for two seasons with an obligation to buy for £45m (€50m).
The 20-year-old is one of Portugal’s most highly regarded young players and in January Barcelona secured a €31m deal with Braga under which Trincão would move to the Camp Nou this summer.
The initial joining date of 1 July was pushed back when the Portuguese season was extended because of the Covid-19 pandemic and Trincão played his final game for Braga on 27 July.

Zuletzt hatte die „Mundo Deportivo“ bereits über ein Interesse von Atalanta BC sowie ein Angebot aus England berichtet.

Als Fan von Barcelona scheint es ein gutes Geschäft zu sein, abgesehen von der obligatorischen Kaufoption, Trincao könnte Erfahrungen sammeln (insbesondere mit der Ausbildung, die der Leicester für junge Leute macht) und dann in einem späteren Jahr 2021 mit einer anderen Richtlinie zurückkehren
Andererseits wäre es für mich seltsam, dass die Atalanta einen Spieler als Trincao anbieten, da er als solches nicht in sein Spielsystem passt.

Bartomeu hat Trincao doch gerade erst als besten U21 Spieler Europas bezeichnet, wieso sollte Barca ihn also abgeben?

Weil Barto eben auch viel erzählt wenn der Tag lang ist.
Deswegen sind die meisten Barça Fans und gerade Mitglieder mit ihm unzufrieden und wollen das er geht.
Hat der gute Barto schon einmal was von Sancho, Felix, Vinicius, Rodrygo, greenwood , camavinga u. einige andere gehört? Trincao mag talentiert sein, aber sicherlich nicht der beste U21 Kicker in Europa.
